Telecommunications Specialist II (On-site)

We are seeking a Telecommunication Specialist II to provide design coordination and project management support for communications and security-related projects. This role will support the Design Manager's Office by coordinating design documentation, tracking project activities, and assisting with the implementation of communications network and electronic security systems.

• Provide design coordination and project management support for communications and security contracts.
• Assist with the development, review, and coordination of design documents and project deliverables.
• Support communications network and security system projects, including documentation, budgeting, scheduling, and technical coordination activities.
• Coordinate design activities with engineering disciplines, maintenance divisions, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Track project progress and ensure activities align with established project management procedures and guidelines.
• Identify, monitor, and assist in resolving technical design issues.
• Maintain project records, reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Support Design Managers with daily project coordination activities.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status, risks, and technical concerns.
• Review and organize design, construction, and contract-related documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Software engineering design
  • Data communications or network communications systems design
  • Electronic security systems design
• Experience supporting technical projects involving communications, networking, or security systems.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and project coordination processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience with telecommunications network deployment and communications applications.
• Experience supporting any of the following technologies:
  • CCTV Systems
  • Physical Security Local Area Networks (PSLAN)
  • Laser Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Electronic Access Control Systems
  • Video Management Systems (VMS)
  • Physical Security Information Management Systems (PSIM)
• Experience in analytical planning, technical operations, or administrative support functions.
• Knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and design coordination.
• Experience working in transportation, infrastructure, public transit, or large-scale engineering environments.

Pay Range: $48.00 - $52.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
