Telemetry Technician

Job description

Duties:
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using telemetry equipment to monitor and record patients' heart activity
- Operate sonography equipment to capture images of the heart and blood vessels
- Utilize knowledge of physiology to interpret telemetry data and identify abnormalities or irregularities
- Maintain accurate records of patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing patients, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring aseptic technique is followed
- Apply knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Telemetry Technician or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of cardiac physiology and the ability to interpret telemetry data accurately
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions when necessary
