Description

Job Title: Telemetry Technician
Location: New York, NY - 10029
Duration: 03 months Contract
Schedule: 7:00P - 7:30A (EOW)
Hourly rate: $43/hour on W2 (Negotiable)
Must-Have Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Telemetry Technician experience – Required
  • Active Telemetry Certification – Required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform continuous ECG/EKG monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
  • Analyze ECG strips and identify arrhythmias/dysrhythmias.
  • Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythm changes.
  • Initiate codes and document cardiac rhythms during code events.
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) with proper electrode placement.
  • Troubleshoot telemetry and monitoring equipment issues.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to monitor alarms.
  • Enter and verify physician orders in the computer system.
  • Retrieve and communicate laboratory results to the charge nurse.
  • Maintain accurate documentation per hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Operate monitoring and medical equipment safely and correctly.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and the healthcare team.

  • Strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills.
  • Knowledge of cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.
  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment.
