Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2710 per week.

Shift: 6:45 AM - 6:45 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience

• Must be able to read and interpret strips independently.
• Must be willing to precept.
• Candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if they are comfortable and confident.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Neuro and cardiac experience is preferred but is not a deal breaker.

Unit Details

• Uses Meditech.
• The Epic conversion starts on 10/30.
• The assignment is part of a monitor pod with Tele-Observation and Tele-Neuro Stroke; all three monitor units work closely together.
• Patients include cardiac/telemetry cases such as CHF, patients 24 hours post-CABG, Watchman procedures, dysrhythmias, EP cases, and some medical telemetry; patients move off the floor when they no longer require telemetry.
• Common set-rate drips include Cardizem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, and Dopamine.
• Patients may use home-regimen CPAP and BiPAP.

Shift & Scheduling

• Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts (every other weekend) in a 6-week period; day shifts are Saturday and Sunday, and night shifts are Friday and Saturday.
• Holiday requirement: 2 major holidays (eve and day of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s) and 2 minor holidays; coverage will be assigned where there is a need.
• Self-scheduling is allowed but is not finalized until balanced by the manager.
• Flexible contract hours: 36 per week may be considered if 48 hours per week are not possible.
• No call.

Floating Requirements

• Travelers are first to float.
• The majority of floating is within the 3 monitor pods, with occasional floating to Med-Surg.
• May float to a higher-acuity floor while taking telemetry patients only.
• May float between the Bryan campus (home base) and the College Station campus at 1604 Rock Prairie Rd, College Station, TX 77845 as needed; the campuses are 16 minutes apart.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
