We are currently seeking a Teller for a credit union located in Parsippany, New Jersey!

Type: Full-time, Temporary-to-hire

Pay: $20.00 to $23.00/hr

Branch Hours: Monday – Thursday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Friday 9:00 an – 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Process account transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments. 
• Balances cash and negotiable items at the end of each business day.
• Speaks with members in person or by phone and explains and promotes Credit Union products and services.
• Updates account information with proper documentation.
• Closes accounts upon request with proper identity verification.
• Assist members with opening, updating, and closing accounts, including savings, checking, and certificate products, while ensuring all required documentation is complete.
• Educate members on available products and services and identify opportunities to recommend solutions that align with their financial goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling account information, service requests, and member documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1 year experience as a teller in a bank or credit union.
• Experience opening checking and savings accounts a plus.
• Basic knowledge of financial products and services required, in addition to working knowledge of credit union/banking regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Working knowledge of banking regulations, fraud prevention practices, and compliance.
