Temporary Store Setup Associate – Auto Parts

Position Type: Temporary / Short-Term Contract (2 Weeks)

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $15.00 / hour

Location: Auto Parts Retail Store

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to assist with a 2-week new store setup and layout project. In this role, you will work closely with the team to transform an empty retail space into a fully stocked, organized auto parts retail store. This temporary role is ideal for candidates looking for consistent daytime hours in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Shelving & Fixture Assembly: Unpack, build, and position retail shelving units, displays, endcaps, and counters according to store floor plans.

• Merchandising & Stocking: Unbox inventory, stock shelves, align automotive parts and accessories, and apply product pricing/labels.

• Organization & Planograms: Follow visual merchandising guidelines (planograms) to ensure accurate placement of products.

• Site Preparation & Cleanup: Breakdown cardboard boxes, clear packing debris, sweep floors, and maintain a safe, tidy work area throughout the setup process.

• Material Handling: Move stock, fixtures, and supplies using hand trucks, carts, or manual lifting as directed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience in retail store setups, fixture assembly, merchandising, stocking, or general labor is a plus, but not required.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 40–50 lbs repeatedly throughout the 8-hour shift.

  • Comfortable working on your feet for the duration of the workday.

• Reliability: Strong attendance and punctuality are strictly required for this 2-week project.

• Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written directions, work well in a team environment, and safely handle basic hand tools if needed (e.g., box cutters, screw drivers).

• Duration: 2 Weeks (Temporary)

• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1st Shift)

• Environment: Active retail store under setup/construction condition. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as work gloves or steel-toe boots may be recommended based on site safety guidelines.
