JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: STARS Site Assistant / CDC Teacher

Wage/Hour Status: $15/hour

Reports to: Director of Community Relations

Dept./School: Community Relations

Primary Purpose:

Open: To provide support for the Community Relations department on a part-time basis.

Minimum Education/Certification:

High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Skills

Knowledge of public school operations

Office skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Previous experience working with children preferred

Safety

• Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing and carrying
• Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the immediate supervisor

Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling; frequent use of hand movements

Occasional prolonged and irregular hours

May be required to be on-call 24 hours a day to come in the next day
