Temporary Dental Assistant Position (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Overview:We are a long-established dental practice under NEW ownership seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our wonderful team in Oakland, NJ on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This position is expected to begin soon and run for several months. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for this role to transition to a full-time permanent opportunity. As a part of our team, you will help deliver high-quality care to our patients in a professional, welcoming environment.Job Details:*NEW Ownership*The office is open 4 days a week: Monday through Thursday.(Closed Friday, Saturday & Sunday!)Schedule:Mondays from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PMTuesdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PMWednesdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMThursdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PMThis position is for Temporary Maternity Leave Coverage beginning in July/August of 2026 with an opportunity for full time.Competitive hourly rate based on experience - (If Entry Level, on-the-job training is available)Friendly working environment under new ownershipThree day weekendsBenefits available for full-time team membersResponsibilities:Preparation & sterilization of instruments and operatories Assisting the doctor (experience in four-handed dentistry is a plus)Taking dental radiographs (if licensed) and assist with patient assessmentsReviewing medical histories and updating patient records Maintaining OSHA and infection control standardsMaintain accurate patient records and ensure proper sterilization techniques are followedWork closely with the dentist to provide excellent patient careQualifications:Valid X-Ray license & RDA certification is a plusStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with dental software is a plusTeam player with a passion for patient careIf you are interested in becoming a Dental Assistant or if you are a dedicated RDA looking for an amazing opportunity to be a part of a great team, we would love to meet you!
