Temporary Pediatric Dental Assistant

Join Great Expressions Dental Centers as a Temporary Pediatric Dental Assistant! We're looking for a dependable, energetic, and patient-focused individual who enjoys working with children and helping them feel comfortable during their dental visits.

Position Details:

• Assignment Dates: November 12, 2026 - February 4, 2027
• Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and two Saturdays per month
• Travel: Must be able to travel between our Miramar and Coral Springs offices (mileage reimbursement will be provided)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures and help ensure smooth clinical workflow.
• Help children feel comfortable and safe throughout their dental visits.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidance to patients and their parents or guardians.
• Anticipate the dentist's needs and provide support during procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow all infection control and safety protocols.
• Perform permitted dental assisting duties in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous dental assisting experience; pediatric dental experience is a plus.
• Friendly, patient, and compassionate approach when working with children and families.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced dental environment.
• Familiarity with dental software and technology is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between the assigned offices.

Required Certifications:

• Active Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
• X-Rays certification.
