Our client, a leading industrial manufacturing company, is seeking a Territory Account Specialist to join their team. 
Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of assigned territory markets, customers, applications, and aftermarket opportunities.

  • Build and grow customer relationships through regular site visits, technical discussions, and consultative sales support.

  • Visit customer locations and perform informal, preliminary equipment assessments as needed.

  • Provide support to field service teams and assist with troubleshooting and resolution of customer equipment issues.

  • Maintain knowledge of industrial equipment components, repair processes, assembly procedures, testing methods, and related applications.

  • Understand product offerings, market applications, and aftermarket opportunities to effectively support customer needs.

  • Prepare accurate quotations and proposals that address customer requirements while supporting profitable sales growth.

  • Analyze territory potential, customer needs, and market trends to develop and execute effective territory growth strategies.

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of customer projects, business initiatives, purchasing strategies, and opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Manage sales activities, priorities, and resources effectively to maximize territory performance.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, quotations, follow-up efforts, and opportunity status.

  • Complete required reporting, including sales call reports, expense reports, activity updates, account plans, and travel schedules.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams while demonstrating the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

  • Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and effectively handle time-sensitive customer requirements.

  • Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel as required. Average travel expectation is approximately 50% or more.

  • Represent the company with professionalism, confidence, and a customer-focused approach.

  • Build customer confidence through strong communication, responsiveness, technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to identify opportunities and provide solutions that meet customer needs.
Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, engineering, business, manufacturing, or related discipline from an accredited college or university preferred.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of mechanical experience required. Experience with gearbox repair, motor repair, rotating equipment, or similar industrial equipment is strongly preferred.

  • Strong technical understanding of industrial equipment, repair processes, and customer applications.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships while identifying and growing sales opportunities.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and recommend effective solutions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

  • Ideal candidate will reside in Oklahoma, Arkansas, or North Texas.
