Territory Manager
Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Compensation: $250,000
Role Overview
Responsible for managing and expanding a new sales territory while maintaining a small base of existing customer relationships. Focus is on driving growth, strengthening client partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
Manage customer inquiries, pricing, orders, delivery, and issue resolution
Maintain accurate account and pricing records
Conduct regular field visits to build relationships and expand accounts
Develop new business and increase product penetration in territory
Address customer concerns related to billing, pricing, and logistics
Attend industry events, trade shows, and training sessions
Provide activity updates and performance reports to management
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Experience & Skills
5+ years in sales or account management
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general business software
CRM experience (Salesforce or similar preferred)
Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Tableau a plus)
Strong organizational and self-management abilities
Ability to understand and manage a broad product portfolio
Requirements
Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance
Willingness to travel extensively (~90% field-based work)
Ability to work in office and field environments
Monthly onsite meetings requiring 2–3 days of overnight travel
