Flight Dispatch, Records Management, Staff Requirements
Overview:
Facilitate the dispatch of aircraft and flight training devices used by Auburn University School of Aviation and its Department of Professional Flight, to include the reporting and tracking of aircraft maintenance events.
Operational hours extend from 4:30am-9:00pm Monday-Saturday; candidate MUST be available to work some Saturdays.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies

AU students are not eligible for TES.
Responsibilities:
- Dispatches training flights, simulators, and ground lessons in accordance with the published daily schedule and assigns resources necessary to support flight training.
- Ensures accurate aircraft status is displayed in the computer-based management system.
- Works closely with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft availability.
- Assists with inventory tracking of training materials and supplies.
- Assists in student records management.
- Schedules aircraft re-fueling with airport.
- Assists with Saturday flight shuttle, as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Pay Range:
USD $15.00 - USD $15.00 /Hr.A
