Overview:
The TES Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support for human resources and payroll functions in the Harrison College of Pharmacy. This position assists with providing administrative support, maintaining employee records, processing time and payroll transactions, assisting with recruitment processes, supporting onboarding and benefits administration, and providing customer service to employees and supervisors.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for daily HR operations and activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and HR procedures.
- Process new hire, employee change, and separation paperwork.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for new employees.
- Maintain College of Pharmacy HR databases in Banner ERP.
- Support recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Process biweekly, semi-monthly, and monthly timekeeping and payroll transactions accurately and timely.
- Monitor, correct and process employee leave requests and timekeeping adjustments.
- Assist with processing Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAF) as needed.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee payroll inquiries.
- Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in accordance with record retention requirements.
- Generate payroll reports for biweekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 years of work experience or Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience in human resources, administrative/business operations.
Pay Range:
USD $20.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
