Job Description
Kforce has a client in need of a Test Automation Engineer in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated testing solutions across the software delivery lifecycle
- Contribute to the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks
- Partner with development and business teams to translate software requirements and user stories into effective automated test scenarios
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, test data, and automated scripts
- Define test environment, dependency, and data requirements to support reliable testing
- Develop unit and automated tests to validate application functionality, quality, security, and compliance with established requirements
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster software delivery
- Perform front-end, back-end, database, and data validation testing across complex application environments
- Support ETL and data-focused testing, including automated validation of data movement, transformation, and quality
- Research and evaluate testing tools, frameworks, and technical solutions aligned with established technology standards
- Collaborate with engineering and testing teams to troubleshoot defects, resolve automation issues, and improve overall software quality
- Apply appropriate smoke, functional, regression, integration, and white-box testing techniques throughout the development lifecycle
- Incorporate security, privacy, risk, and control considerations into testing activities and escalate issues when appropriate
Requirements:
- 7-8+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, test automation, or SDET roles
- Strong hands-on experience designing and developing automated testing solutions and frameworks
- Proficiency with automation technologies such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Jasmine.
- Advanced SQL skills with strong experience in database and data validation testing
- Hands-on experience with ETL testing and automation
- Experience testing both front-end and back-end applications, preferably using Java and Selenium
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and integrating automated tests into continuous delivery pipelines
- Experience working with AWS cloud services
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Micro Focus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
- Understanding of performance, security, functional, regression, smoke, and non-black-box testing approaches
- Experience collaborating with development, engineering, and cross-functional teams in modern software delivery environments
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse technologies is highly beneficial
- Experience testing Business Intelligence and reporting platforms, such as Power BI or AWS QuickSight, is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
