Test Development Engineers Electrical Test Systems

PGS Worldwide is seeking Interim Secret-Cleared Test Development Engineers Electrical Test Systems in Tewksbury, Massachusetts for an approximately nine-month to one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will support the design, integration, and deployment of test equipment used in engineering, production, and depot environments. Engineers will work across electrical hardware, PCB design, automated test software, and test-station development involving RF, power, digital, and analog technologies.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience; senior-level openings require 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with electrical test instruments and test equipment.
• Knowledge of power electronics.
• Knowledge of RF systems and circuits.
• Knowledge of digital logic.
• Knowledge of analog circuits.
• Experience developing automated test software.
• Experience with one or more of the following: C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, or TestStand.
• Experience with electrical schematic capture.
• Experience with PCB design.
• Experience using ORCAD and/or Cadence Allegro.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Interim Secret clearance or higher required to start. The senior-level requisition specifically requires Interim clearance at the time of start.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing test stations and test fixtures.
• Experience with project leadership.
• Experience managing engineering project cost and schedule.
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
• Microsoft Project experience.
• Experience with Department of Defense development lifecycle processes.
• Experience working within structured, process-driven engineering environments.

What You'll Do

• Design electrical test stations and test fixtures.
• Perform electrical schematic capture and PCB design.
• Develop and integrate automated test software.
• Support test equipment involving RF, power, digital, and analog technologies.
• Execute assigned technical engineering tasks within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support integration and deployment of test equipment.
• Participate in scheduled project and technical meetings.
• Provide regular technical progress updates to project leadership.
• Troubleshoot test stations, fixtures, and automated test systems.
• Support both hardware and software development activities.
• Contribute to test-equipment development from design through integration and deployment.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Full-time onsite in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
• First shift.
• 40 hours per week.

Pay

• $68.25 $91.37 per hour.
