Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager with strong hands-on experience in electrical power testing and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience testing protection relays, medium-voltage (MV) switchgear, MV breakers, and arc-flash systems, along with a solid understanding of electrical safety procedures and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain testing schedules in alignment with project and production requirements.

• Monitor daily testing activities and gather feedback from test technicians.

• Review project specifications and implement testing procedures according to project requirements.

• Review test plans and schematics with test technicians before testing begins.

• Review test reports and testing schematics for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with testing procedures.

• Maintain completed test reports, testing schematics, and project documentation.

• Maintain testing equipment lists and coordinate equipment requirements with test technicians.

• Create and maintain test procedures, testing forms, and work instructions.

• Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving initiatives related to quality failures.

• Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and reduce testing time.

• Ensure team members follow electrical testing standards, safety procedures, and work instructions.

• Investigate and report quality or testing-related incidents.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

• Perform power testing of protective relay panels and medium-voltage switchgear lineups.

• Perform testing of communication systems and HMI components on relay panels.

• Test panel boards, automatic transfer switches, fire alarm systems, air-conditioning systems, and other power distribution components.

• Collaborate with electrical engineering and production teams to resolve testing and quality issues.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical technical field.

• 7-10 years of relevant electrical testing experience.

• 8+ years of related work experience preferred.

• Hands-on experience performing AC/DC functional testing.

• Experience with protection relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, and arc-flash testing.

• Previous experience leading or managing a team of electrical test technicians.

• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and standards.

• Working knowledge of NEC and IEEE codes.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• NETA Certification is a plus.

• Experience with power distribution systems and electrical testing equipment.

• Experience reviewing electrical schematics and test plans.

• Experience in electrical manufacturing, switchgear, or power equipment environments.
