• Pay Rate: $70.00 $75.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Core hours: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM, or 9:00 AM 5:00 PM; flexible; fully remote possible; overtime may be required during workshops, go-lives, or in support of other special circumstances.
• Travel Requirements: 1 2 times per year for workshops; expenses reimbursed per client policy; no per diem.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This role supports one primary project: the ADERMS Aggregator Virtual Power Plant (AVPP). The Test Lead is responsible for evaluating and testing software for completeness, quality, correctness, and security. The role leads testing efforts including writing and executing SIT and UAT test cases, managing testers, maintaining the JIRA space, and reporting testing status to PMs and leadership. The Test Lead develops test plans and test cases, performs manual tests for software functionality, installation, and usability, defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts, manages bugs and error tracking, and documents and presents test results to management. The Test Lead coordinates and prioritizes testing of application modifications and bug fixes and works with multiple development teams and software projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support for one primary project: ADERMS Aggregator Virtual Power Plant (AVPP).
• Lead testing efforts including writing and executing SIT and UAT test cases.
• Manage testers, maintain JIRA space, and report testing status to PMs and leadership.
• Execute and manage test cases.
• Run daily or twice-daily testing meetings.
• Interface with PMs, client, architects, and vendors.
• Maintain dashboards and contribute to project team activities.
• Develop test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual and automated tests for software functionality, installation, and usability.
• Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Manage bugs and error tracking.
• Document and present test results to management.
• Coordinate and prioritize testing of application modifications and bug fixes.
• Work with multiple development teams and software projects.

Required Skills

• Strong communication and executive presence.
• Experience running meetings as the primary facilitator and reporting to leadership.
• Strong JIRA experience (setup and execution).
• Waterfall methodology experience.
• Writing test cases (no automation or scripting).

• Experience in regulatory or process-heavy industries (e.g., Healthcare, Medtronic, Boston Scientific).

• Utility experience preferred.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience

• Minimum 7 10 years of experience.

• Low risk; standard office environment.
• Overtime may be required during workshops, go-lives, or in support of other special circumstances.
• If local to Denver or Minneapolis, expected to be onsite 3 days/week per client policy.

• Preference for candidates located in Denver or Minneapolis; fully remote will be considered for strong candidates.
• Proficient within 3 months; comfortable within 6 months.
• Interview format: Microsoft Teams video, 30 minutes; panel interview with 2 3 participants.

- Round One Panel: Test Lead, AVPP Project Manager, AVPP Stakeholder / Subject Matter Expert. - Round Two Panel: AVPP Project Manager, AVPP Program / Hiring Manager. - Two rounds expected; additional rounds only if needed.
