Test Specialist This role is a mix of the Business Analyst Level 1 role and the Quality Assurance Level 1 role while also having responsibility for configuring online donation and membership forms within our application. Since this role will interact with business partners, the person will need to be available during standard business hours 9 5 ET. In addition, this role requires some overtime for validating software releases (approximately 6x/year around 6:30am) and for production issues (as needed but estimated at 6x/year and may occur after 5pm).Job Summary

Seeking a Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Analyst to support the enhancement and ongoing operation of enterprise applications used by internal and external users. The position will focus on business requirements, application configuration, end-user and production support, application testing, data validation, and coordination with technical and business stakeholders. The role will also support upgrades, new initiatives, and continuous improvement activities while ensuring solutions align with established standards, policies, security, privacy, and accessibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Configure online forms and application features to meet business needs and align with applicable policies and standards.
Provide end-user and production support for enterprise applications and related data integrations, including digital forms, recurring transaction or subscription processes, and membership or registration functions.
Gather, analyze, document, and translate business needs into clear system requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Work independently with stakeholders to define scope, clarify requirements, evaluate options, and recommend solutions that meet defined business objectives.
Conduct gap analysis and identify feasible alternative solutions where current capabilities do not fully meet business requirements.
Assess the impact of proposed changes on connected applications, downstream systems, integrations, business processes, external partners, and users.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data to validate functionality, data accuracy, system behavior, integration results, and expected business outcomes.
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing and document results, defects, evidence, and retest outcomes.
Validate that solutions continue to meet security, privacy, regulatory, accessibility, and risk-management requirements.
Participate in production support, application upgrades, enhancement releases, and new project implementations.
Review and update business and system specifications; collaborate with software developers and other delivery teams; and provide input to training and operational readiness activities.
Track assigned work against agreed schedules, identify risks or dependencies, and communicate status, issues, and decisions to project stakeholders.

Communicate business requirements and solution behavior clearly to technical teams, and explain technical solutions and impacts to non-technical stakeholders.
Support go-live, deployment, stabilization, and critical business-cycle activities, which may occasionally require early morning, evening, or weekend availability.
Comply with team standards, processes, documentation practices, change controls, and quality expectations.
Explore opportunities to use Artificial Intelligence responsibly to improve analysis, testing, documentation, and support activities while complying with organizational and client policies.
Perform other related responsibilities consistent with the level and purpose of the position.

Basic Qualifications
7 years experience supporting business applications, gathering requirements, performing quality assurance testing, or providing production support.
Ability to analyze business processes, document requirements, execute tests, and communicate findings clearly.
Well versed and prior experience using JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, Wikis, Agile methodology.

Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of information technology applications, business processes, software, data, and related equipment.
Awareness of security, privacy, regulatory compliance, accessibility, and risk-management considerations.
Good knowledge with Agile frameworks and principles is preferred.
Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) is preferred.
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Ability to manage multiple assignments or projects simultaneously, organize priorities, and meet agreed schedules.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Prior experience supporting university applications or working within the public sector domain is highly desired.

Preferred Experience
Experience with enterprise applications used for digital forms, transactions, subscriptions, registrations, memberships, customer or constituent engagement, or related workflows.
Experience coordinating with business users, application support teams, developers, integration teams, training teams, and external partners.
Experience supporting application releases, upgrades, production incidents, and go-live activities.
