Test Stand Operator (S2)

Position: Test Stand Operator

Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

Safely and efficiently operate all test stands located in the assembly department. Daily testing equipment to meet customer demands. Keep area and equipment clean and operational. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Report any required maintenance issues as needed.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate test stands safely and efficiently.
• Trouble shoot items that come up during test. Working to resolve the issue to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain test stands by ensuring Hydraulic oil is filled and filters are changed as required. Ask for assistance as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of hydraulics systems and basic hydraulic operations is helpful.
• Able to work safely around industrial equipment.
• Able to keep work area clean and oil cleaned up off floor daily.
• Able to safely operate Overhead and Job cranes as needed.
• Can read and interpret test data sheets, understand the requirements and how to capture the results and document.
• Able to perform basic troubleshooting on test stand issues.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school training is a plus.
• Prior experience in 6's and Continuous improvement is helpful, but training will be provided.
• Experience with hydraulic components and systems helpful.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely use and lift items weighing fifty (50) pounds.
• Ability to stand at your work area through your work shift.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
