Job Title: Test Technician
Location: Simi Valley, 93063
Duration: 6+ Months
Shift: 2nd Shift 4/10 Schedule: M-Th | 3:30pm 1:30am (Must be able to train on 1st shift if needed)
Pay Range:$24.40 + 10% Shift Differential (once transitioned to 2nd)
3 Must Haves (Required):
Electro-mechanical assembly and knows how to read prints/work instructions
Has used Thermal and vibration testing equipment
Has a good foundation of how to use multi-meters and power supplies
3 Nice to Haves (Optional) : Has experience trouble-shooting PCBAs/ Has a good foundation of how to read schematics/ Self-starter
Preferred Certifications: IPC-610/ J-STD

Job Designation:
The Test Technician, completes work according to instructions, specifications and procedures. Conducts a variety of tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment, while providing accuracy, productivity and on-time delivery.
Job Core Responsibilities:
" Performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical testing of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures
" Reviews shop traveler route card, or schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation
" Perform a variety of test to verify circuitry and to test effectiveness of components in amplifiers and electronic equipment.
" Receive parts or units from customers and troubleshoots circuits and components using schematic drawings and prints as a verifying check.
" Perform test and diagnostics using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, frequency counters and other related test equipment
" Sets up test equipment and tests per specification
" Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the micro component level
" Provides detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering
" Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
" Maintains a safe and clean work environment, an acceptable safety record and follows company safety rules
" Other responsibilities as assigned
" Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Skills:
" Strong electrical background with understanding of microelectronics.
" Strong knowledge in testing, debugging and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
" Good reading and comprehension skills to understand regulations and instructions
" Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures
" Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
" Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications
