    About the Role:

    As a therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and groups to improve their mental health and overall well-being. You will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client, helping them navigate life transitions, manage emotional challenges, and develop coping strategies. Your work will involve assessing clients' mental health status, creating treatment plans, and facilitating individual or group therapy sessions. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients facing crisis situations or behavioral health issues. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing clients' quality of life and fostering resilience in the face of psychological difficulties.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
    • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling to diverse populations.
    • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health principles.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage clients and collaborate with healthcare teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Specialized training or certification in group therapy, family therapy, or anger management.
    • Experience working with clients undergoing significant life transitions or trauma recovery.
    • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
    • Background in community mental health settings or integrated care environments.
    • Bilingual abilities or experience working with culturally diverse populations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough psychological assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and challenges.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using various therapeutic modalities such as psychotherapy, family therapy, and group therapy.
    • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute emotional distress or behavioral health emergencies.
    • Facilitate therapy sessions focused on anger management, life transitions, and other relevant issues to promote emotional regulation and personal growth.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, monitor progress, and adjust treatment approaches as necessary.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
    • Stay informed about current research and best practices in counseling psychology and mental health to continually enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

    Skills:

    The required skills such as counseling psychology, group therapy, and mental health counseling are essential for conducting effective assessments and delivering tailored therapeutic interventions that address clients' emotional and behavioral needs. Family therapy and psychotherapy skills enable the therapist to work with multiple family members or individuals to improve relational dynamics and personal insight. Crisis intervention and anger management skills are critical for managing acute situations and helping clients develop healthier coping mechanisms. Life transitions and behavioral health expertise allow the therapist to support clients through significant changes and mental health challenges with empathy and evidence-based strategies. Preferred skills like specialized certifications and cultural competence enhance the therapist's ability to provide inclusive, effective care and adapt treatment plans to diverse client backgrounds and needs.
