Position Title:    Therapy Scheduler Lead 
FLSA Status:      Non-Exempt
Reports To:        Director of Clinical Support

POSITION SUMMARY:

Schedules patients identified for in/outpatient therapy services to assure required patient therapy hours are provided.  Coordinates in/outpatient resources for timely continuum of care and reduces patients’ scheduling conflicts, changes, and cancellations/no-show between all disciplines.  Handles and answers questions regarding patients’ and practitioners’ schedules. Integrates with in/outpatient therapists, physicians, care coordinators, nurses, nursing unit secretaries and dietary staff in order to provide timely services for patients and complete required documentation as needed.  Oversees department work schedules, time off requests and coordinates coverage.

Starting Wage: $23.38/hour.

The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  Certification/Licensure:

  • None

 

  Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

 

  Skills/Experience:

  • At least three (3) years experience in a healthcare setting. 

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Familiarity with rehabilitation, and/or healthcare front office

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  Education:

  • Business school graduate or Associates Degree or  higher in the field of healthcare.

  Skills/Experience:

  • More than 3 years work experience in a medical/hospital setting.

  • Familiarity with rehabilitation, and/or healthcare front office.

  • Experience in  scheduling, receptionist’s functions and trained in customer service.

Standard office equipment/supplies.  Computer, multi-line phone and calculator.
