    Our client, a General Contractor providing tenant improvement, commercial ground-up, as well as restaurant and retail construction in Denver and Colorado’s Front Range.     COMMERCIAL SUPERINTENDENT


    JOB DUTIES

    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of commercial construction and exceptional jobsite management skills
    • Foster positive long-term relationships with subcontractors and business partners
    • Possess detailed process and application knowledge related to building codes, budget management, construction practices, project scheduling, etc.
    • Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining team focus on safety, quality and budget
    • Fully understand and effectively utilize drawings, specifications, subcontract agreements and purchase orders
    • Responsible for creating and maintaining project schedule
    • Assist Project Manager with maintaining costs through efficient use of company labor and material
    • Experienced in forecasting labor needs to a specific project
    • Oversee self-performed activities
    • Responsible for creating and maintaining site logistics
    • Assist Project Manager with material delivery schedules
    • Assume primary responsibility for leading, implementing and enforcing jobsite safety requirements
    • Lead on-site with job set-up, communications, safety compliance record-keeping, quality control and closeout as needed
    • Actively engage in internal and external company functions
    • Effectively market and promote a professional on-site signage display
    • Promote company image, ethics and professionalism



    BACKGROUND

    • Seasoned construction professional with at least ten (10) years’ experience with a commercial general contractor and at least five (5) years in a lead role
    • History with large scale concrete foundations and precast structures
    • Strong leadership, conflict management and communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Strong organization and planning skills with ability to effectively allocate and develop resources
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Technology skills with proficiency using MS Office, scheduling software, and other various systems.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred, High School diploma required
    • Strong background in mid to large sized new construction projects with proven ability to manage renovation projects
    • Verifiable work history and references demonstrating exceptional contributions, skills and integrity
    • Current 30-hour or 10-hour OSHA certification
    • Must have valid US Driver’s License
