Tig Welder

Start your new career as a TIG Welder with MAU at Carolina Fabricator in Lexington, SC. As a TIG Welder, you will fabricate ASME-certified pressure vessels, structural components, and other specialized projects using TIG welding techniques. This is a direct-hire role.

What We're Looking For:

• 5-10+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• TIG welding experience preferred
• Welder certification or applicable work experience
• Expertise in TIG welding processes
• In-depth knowledge of ASME standards, welding symbols, and fabrication methods
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills
• AWS or ASME welding certification highly desirable
• Experience welding exotic alloys or performing high-precision welds preferred
• Familiarity with CNC machinery or fabrication equipment preferred
• Knowledge of quality assurance practices in highly regulated environments preferred
• Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and confined spaces

What You'll Do as a TIG Welder:

• Perform TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to ensure precise fabrication
• Operate and maintain welding equipment while adhering to safety standards
• Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with ASME codes, applicable standards, and safety requirements
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to meet project requirements and resolve technical challenges
• Perform repairs and modifications to existing metal components as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Consistently follow established safety protocols and regulations
