TikTok Shop - Special Projects Manager

Team Overview We aim to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making TikTok the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and partners. TikTok Shop is looking for a collaborative and strategic thinker to drive category growth through cross-functional partnerships, strategy design, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic projects to develop and optimize category strategies for TikTok Shop category teams, driving long-term GMV growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Partner closely with cross-functional (XFN) teams to define goals, pilot initiatives, and identify key areas for continuous improvement.
• Conduct data-driven analysis, competitor benchmarking, and hypothesis testing to solve business challenges and identify new growth opportunities.
• Work with product & tech teams to design scalable, tech-driven solutions that lower entry barriers for merchants and enhance overall platform competitiveness. Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; a background in mathematics, statistics, business analytics, or related fields is preferred.
• Experience in e-commerce strategy & operations, category management, management consulting, or business strategy, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to execute solutions that drive measurable business impact.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a structured and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Startup experience, especially in marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer goods sectors.
