Toddler Assistant Teacher- Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience- Columbus Circle, New York, NY

Pay: $18-$20 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Opening: New Toddler Classroom

The Learning Experience- Columbus Circle is growing! We're opening a new Toddler classroom and are looking for a caring and energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join the teaching team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a classroom from the very beginning, helping create a warm, engaging environment where toddlers can explore, build independence, develop language, and form their first friendships.

What You'll Do

• Partner with the Lead Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging Toddler classroom

• Support daily learning activities, play, art, music, sensory experiences, and outdoor time

• Encourage language, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development

• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and classroom transitions

• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance

• Help establish consistent routines as our new classroom grows

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment

• Build positive relationships with children and families

• Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Previous experience working with children preferred

• Toddler, daycare, preschool, or childcare experience is a plus

• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and energetic

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
