Toddler Teacher

Shepherd's Flock Preschool in Arlington Heights is hiring a part-time Toddler Teacher, $22.50/hour, Monday through Friday, 3:00–6:00 p.m. You'll lead a classroom of infants and toddlers on the campus of The Lutheran Home, where the preschool's intergenerational programming brings young children and older adults together.

As a Toddler Teacher, you'll plan and lead daily activities for your classroom, build real relationships with the children and their families, and create a safe, engaging space where toddlers can learn and grow.

What you'll do

• Plan and lead a nurturing, engaging classroom for infants and toddlers
• Deliver a well-rounded, age-appropriate educational experience
• Support each child's growth through intentional interaction, care, and guidance
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and teammates
• Keep the classroom safe, organized, and welcoming
• Take part in the preschool's intergenerational programming with residents at The Lutheran Home

What you'll need

Required:

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, including coursework in Human Growth and Development or Lifespan Development
• Comfortable caring for infants and toddlers
• Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification, completed or willing to obtain after hire
• Infant Toddler Level 2 certification, completed or willing to obtain after hire

Preferred:

• 1–3 years of early childhood education experience
