We have great opportunity to join an Automotive manufacturing company in Chino as a Tool and Die Maker.
-First shift-8am to 5pm, M-F
-Pay is $30-40hr doe
To independently build single and progressive dies by following blueprints and instructions. To analyze a metal stamped part and/or a strip from a progressive die and determine what needs to be done to the tooling to trouble shoot a discrepancy from specifications.
- Works on tools and dies as needed to maintain them a production environment.
- Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
- Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.
- Verifies dimensions, alignments and clearances.
- Requests heat treating of tools or parts.
- Examines standard or previously used ides, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part.
- Works with apprentices and teaches them the fundamentals of tool and die making.
- Ensures all safety items are in place before operation of Tool Room machines and equipment are started.
