Responsibilities
-Setting up and operating various manual and CNC equipment to produce molds, dies, fixtures, gauges, and cutting tools
-Performing highly diversified machining of complicated molds and tooling
-Manual machining and milling of complex tooling projects
-Performing all complex Wire EDM work
-Holding intricate tolerances on all tooling produced
-Checking blueprints and performing mathematical calculations necessary to correct or complete tooling
-Performing miscellaneous and complex grinding operations
-Providing feedback and aiding Tool Designers to improve tooling manufacturing
-Working in a team environment, supporting smooth shift-to-shift transitions, and interacting professionally with Management, Engineers, Inspection, CAM Programmers, Tool Designers, Elastomer Technicians, and Injection Mold and Composite Mold Technicians
-Performing job duties without supervision while producing quality tooling within estimated manufacturing costs
-Making revisions and repairs to all types of tooling as necessary
-Performing miscellaneous duties in the Tool Shop as assigned
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
-High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience
-Must be proficient at manual machining and milling complex tooling projects
-Minimum of 1 year as a Toolmaker combined with 4-5+ years of relevant machining experience
-Proficiency operating computers, including searching, saving, and editing files
-Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, company documents, and other specified requirements
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without mechanical lifting devices or assistance
-Ability to work for long periods in a standing position
-Ability to perform the job in compliance with the Company's Quality Policy (ISO 9000) and in a safe manner
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience
-Injection or Compression tooling experience with tight tolerances
