Trade Compliance Specialist

Are you passionate about international trade and compliance? We are seeking a dedicated professional to support our trade compliance teams in executing international trade operations. This role is crucial in maintaining export/import shipment documentation, assisting in product classification, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Government laws and regulations. You'll work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and cross-functional teams to optimize trade compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate HTS code classification and determine the country of origin for all imported/exported products.
• Assist in applying proper U.S. Customs Valuation methods.
• Review and maintain import/export documentation, including commercial invoices and packing lists.
• Track international shipments for customs delays and regulatory holds.
• Support the implementation of Customs programs like Duty Drawback and Temporary Import Bonds.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders for pre-clearance and shipping instructions.
• Support ERP integration of trade compliance data, such as SAP material master.
• Assist with internal audits and documentation, including pre and post CBP entry reviews.
• Provide reporting on trade compliance metrics and duty exposure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience (5 years).
• 3 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or international logistics.
• Basic knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and Foreign Trade Regulations.
• Experience using ERP systems like SAP.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferences:

• Experience with duty drawbacks, FTZs, or CTPAT.
• Ability to motivate and initiate change.
