    Description

    HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

    The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing import and export trade compliance, including classification, Foreign Trade Zone operations, and duty programs, while ensuring compliance with CBP rules and regulations

    This is an in-office position based in the NE Atlanta suburbs, GA.

     

    EXPECTATIONS

    · Develop import & export compliance processes to meet CBP and PGA requirements
    · Determine and maintain product HTS/ECCN classification
    · Audit customs entries for accurate HTS, tariff, country of origin, and related trade details
    · Perform Antidumping and Countervailing Duty (AD/CVD) analysis
    · Maintain Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) processes and identify improvements
    · Prepare and process duty drawback claims
    · Ensure processes comply with C-TPAT requirements
    · Provide export shipment instructions following EAR regulations
    · Partner with brokers and freight forwarders to ensure accuracy for import & export shipments
    · Manage requests from government agencies related to documentation and audits
    · Provide compliance updates and training across the organization

     

    ESSENTIALS

    · 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance
    · In depth knowledge of HTS, ECCN, Country of Origin, Valuation, and PGA requirements
    · Understanding of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations and benefits
    · Working knowledge of ACE system, reporting, and data analysis
    · Experience managing export shipments and documentation
    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    · Strong written and verbal communication skills
