UNITY is currently searching for a highly motivated Trade Finance Analyst for a Commodity Trading client located in west Houston. This position is responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable process, supporting commodity trading operations through accurate invoice processing, vendor management, month-end close activities, and collaboration with commercial, operations, treasury, and accounting teams. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced commodity trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
Month-end close and financial reporting
Manage high-volume AP processing and vendor payments
Perform invoice matching, reconciliations, and accruals
Partner with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues
Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls
Qualifications
Background in commodity trading, energy, logistics, or transportation preferred
Experience with month-end close and high-volume invoice processing
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Experience with MS Dynamics, RightAngle, Allegro, Endur, or other ETRM/CTRM systems a plus
Education and Work Experience
25 years of operational accounting experience
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
