Leading U.S. engineering consultingfirm is seeking a Traffic Engineer for their Milwaukee office!
Responsibilities:
Prepare/oversee traffic impact analysisstudies, transportation planning studies, traffic signal design and timings,microsimulation and modeling services, roundabout feasibility studies, parkingstudies, and safety studies for public and private-sector clients
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple complex assignments and establish priorities
Proficient in Highway Capacity Software (HCS), SYNCHRO / SimTraffic, including the ability to guide staff and review technical work
Experience with VISSIM, IHSDM and AutoCAD preferred
Familiar with traffic engineering guidelines, including: DOT, ITE, FHWA, AASHTO, and MUTCD publications for preparation of traffic studies
Strong written and verbal communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with public and private-sector clients, agency staff, peers, management, and project stakeholders
Experience supporting proposal preparation, client development, and business development efforts is preferred
