The Traffic Expeditor will coordinate and track customer inbound and outbound delivery safely, efficiently, and timely.
Key Responsibilities

Routes outgoing shipments through various means of transportation, following standard procedures.
Oversees equipment availability and helps secure carriers when needed.
Anticipates weather complications along routes and at the driver's destinations; communicates delays and route changes as necessary.
Maintains contact with carriers; receives and dispatches response and emergency aid when needed.
Maintains and reviews billing and operation records; monitors daily logs for errors and or compliance violations.
Tracks customer inbound and outbound shipments online.
Schedules loading and unloading appointments with carriers if needed.
Follow-ups with carriers to ensure timely delivery of the product.
Processes freight claims.
Runs customer compliance and other necessary reports from the database system.
Reviews processes and systems for potential inefficiencies and makes recommendations for improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
High school diploma, or equivalent required
A minimum of three (3) years experience as a traffic dispatcher or truck broker preferred
Previous experience moving product by the truckload and LTL (Less than truckload) preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Basic knowledge of freight process
Beginner MS Office experience (Excel, Outlook), Internet and database programs
Basic data entry skills
Excellent listening and communication skills
Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes
Strong leadership skills to ensure drivers compliance with direction and assignments
Basic understanding of the geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing
Proficient with or able to quickly learn dispatch and recordkeeping systems
Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure
