Trailer Inspector

We are seeking a detail -oriented and safety -driven Tanker Inspector<\/span><\/b> to ensure tankers, cargo tanks, and related equipment meet all regulatory, safety, and structural integrity standards. This role plays a critical part in preventing failures, maintaining compliance, and protecting both personnel and the environment.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, inspection experience, and a deep understanding of safety regulations and documentation.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/h3>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform visual and mechanical inspections<\/span><\/b> of tanker units, cargo tanks, or storage tanks
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Inspect welds, valves, piping, structural components, and safety systems<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Conduct or assist with pressure testing, leak testing, and thickness testing<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Verify compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and industry standards<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Identify defects, corrosion, cracks, or structural concerns
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Document findings in detailed inspection reports
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Recommend repairs, maintenance, or removal from service when necessary
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Work closely with maintenance teams and management on corrective actions
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Maintain inspection tools, gauges, and testing equipment
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Follow all company and site -specific safety protocols

Qualifications<\/b>
<\/h3>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience in mechanical inspection, heavy equipment, tankers, or industrial equipment<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong knowledge of safety and compliance standards<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Ability to read technical drawings and inspection criteria<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Comfortable working in shop and outdoor environments
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Basic computer skills for reporting

Preferred Certifications (not always required but HUGE plus)<\/b>

Depending on the type of tanks:
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>CTMV (Certified Cargo Tank Inspector)<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>API 510, 653, or 570<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>NDT experience<\/span><\/b> (UT, MT, PT, VT)
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Welding inspection background (CWI)
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>DOT cargo tank inspection experience
