Trainer

Trainers are essential in making sure every production team member can perform their job safely, to standard, and in compliance with GMP requirements. Working primarily on the floor, this role delivers on-the-job training, verifies competency, and keeps work standards and training records current. Trainers also help build a problem-solving culture by teaching and reinforcing continuous improvement basics at the line level.

Frontline Operator Training

· Models and coaches GMP and general safety behaviors on the floor.

· Delivers new-hire training for production roles using structured methods and Dozuki.

· Conducts all signoffs and competency checks.

· Keeps track of the Dozuki skills matrix to spot potential growth and cross-training opportunities for employees.

· Coaches and supports all members of each shift.

· Retraining after process changes, deviations, or audit findings.

· Ensures training records in Dozuki are accurate and audit ready.

· Escalates employee training risks to supervisors.

· Communicate any needs to change Training Materials to L&D and actively works to create, update, and edit.

· Support the team by learning new functions to provide training in different areas.

Continuous Improvement

· Use Dozuki to write, update, and train guides/standard work.

· Teach and reinforce Lean fundamentals: 5S, standard work, waste identification, basic root-cause problem solving.

· Helps sustain improvements through training, follow-up audits, and other special projects as needed.

· Gather operator feedback to improve training materials and processes.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED.

· Working knowledge of GMPs and food safety practices.

· Prepared and eager to learn new skills beyond their current operational role.

· Proven ability to teach others on the floor.

· Patient, team oriented, enjoys helping others.

· Comfortable with basic computer tools like email and Teams. (We will teach you even more including Dozuki, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, basic video and image editing).

· Work swing-shift hours to cover training across day/night shifts.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Success Measures

· Time to proficiency for new hires.

· Training record completeness for audit findings related to training.

· Attention to guide revisions and new guided content as a measure of continuous improvement.

· GMP / food safety training reinforcement in assigned areas.

Physical Demands

· Standing and walking on the production floor.

· Lift up to 30lbs occasionally; bend, reach, climb stairs or platforms.

· Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and food allergens.

· Required PPE: hairnet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear per plant policy.
