Training Manager - QSRD

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Training Manager to oversee training and development across multiple quick-service restaurant locations. This individual will be responsible for developing team members, training General Managers and restaurant leaders, maintaining consistent operating standards, and ensuring employees are prepared to deliver excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong restaurant operations experience who enjoys developing people, improving performance, and building a strong culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain training programs for new hires, team members, Shift Managers, Assistant General Managers, and General Managers.
• Oversee onboarding and ensure new employees are properly trained on company procedures, food preparation, customer service, and safety standards.
• Work directly with restaurant leadership to identify training needs and improve operational performance.
• Conduct restaurant visits to evaluate training effectiveness, observe daily operations, and ensure consistent execution of company standards.
• Train and coach restaurant managers on leadership, employee development, scheduling, labor management, food cost control, and customer service.
• Support new restaurant openings by coordinating training schedules, preparing teams, and ensuring employees are ready for opening day.
• Develop training materials, standard operating procedures, and resources that support consistent execution across all locations.
• Monitor training progress, employee performance, certification completion, and leadership development.
• Identify high-potential employees and help prepare them for advancement into management positions.
• Partner with Operations and Human Resources to improve employee retention, performance, and overall training effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health regulations, and company policies.
• Provide ongoing coaching and follow-up to ensure training translates into improved restaurant performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR or fast-casual operations.
• Previous experience as a Training Manager, Training General Manager, Certified Training Manager, or multi-unit restaurant leader.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety, customer service, labor management, food cost, and speed of service.
• Proven ability to train, coach, and develop employees and restaurant managers.
• Experience supporting new restaurant openings or training multiple locations is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel between restaurant locations as needed.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and providing hands-on training in the field.
