Description
The Production Control (PC) Training Partner is part of a larger Training team supporting and influencing the Tesla culture in Energy. A successful Training Partner will be approachable, outgoing, and exudes the Tesla mission in all facets. Our ideal Training Coordinator embodies the Tesla culture and the individualistic approach to training a diverse group of talented individuals with the subject matter expertise on all PC process and PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) equipment to train effectively. They will need to be knowledgeable and have hands on experience in a production environment. The successful candidate is flexible, confident, and can communicate with different levels of the organization (associates, technicians, managers, engineering, etc.) to achieve training targets and goals. You will be expected to challenge and to be challenged, to create, and to innovate. You will be expected to learn equipment, create training materials, present on various topics to trainees, to conduct audits of training programs and to participate in other learning and development initiatives as required.
Day shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM; Monday - Friday
Swing shift: 4:00PM - 12:30AM; Monday - Friday
Conduct PIV training, maintain certification records, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Deliver group and individual training sessions (New Hire Onboarding, Standard Work Instruction Training, JIRA Rollout, etc.)
Coordinate schedules with Production Control Supervisors for efficient training implementation
Develop and update Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and facilitate cross-training for teams
Analyze Process Audit failures, collaborate on corrective actions, and track training records in compliance with ISO 9001
Drive continuous improvement in all training programs; stay updated on process operations and technologies
2+ years' operating mobile equipment preferred, 1-2 years training experience preferred
Experienced training and operating PIV equipment like forklifts strongly preferred
Strong verbal, written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to facilitate training classes
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
Displays leadership, empathy, patience and interest in adult learning
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
