Training Specialist, CDL Training Program

SUMMARY

Develops and facilitates training for students of the College''s Transportation Center, including leadership and control of classroom activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Teaches students skills and knowledge necessary to obtain a Commercial Driver''s License (CDL) Class A driver''s license

• Monitors attendance and maintains student records

• Assists in program compliance with State requirements

• Performs and documents daily safety inspections of equipment such as trucks, trailers, bus and pickup trucks

• Provides weekly status reports to the Director

• Maintains daily attendance verification and provides weekly documentation to the Coordinator

• Maintains student record audits, including attendance, performance, sign off by students and instructors for attendance, training and comments

• Performs other duties as assigned
