Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Transmission & Distribution) to lead overhead transmission and distribution projects from planning through construction. This role is responsible for managing project execution, financial performance, client relationships, and multidisciplinary engineering teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven background in utility transmission projects and business development.

Applicants MUST Have atleast 7+ years of Electrical Transmission & Distribution experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead T&D engineering projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and overall financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with utility clients and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engineering, environmental, permitting, right-of-way, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Develop proposals, support contract negotiations, and identify opportunities for repeat business.
  • Monitor project risks, quality, and compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Provide regular project updates to clients and internal leadership.
  • Mentor junior team members and support the growth of the engineering team.
  • Participate in business development and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Travel to client and project sites as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience within the Transmission & Distribution industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience leading T&D engineering projects.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships.
  • Working knowledge of overhead transmission design and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with NESC and applicable utility industry standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • PE license and/or PMP certification are preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
