Role of Transmission Technician

  • Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and accurately
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including transmission, engine, electrical, steering, suspension, and brakes

  • Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues

  • Communicate effectively with the Service Advisor about additional repairs and estimated completion times

  • Execute warranty and customer-pay repairs to manufacturer standards

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

  • Qualifications for Transmission Technician

Qualifications for Transmission Technician

  • 2+ years of experience as a Transmission or Automotive Technician (Ford experience a plus)
  • ASE or Ford certifications preferred

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Solid understanding of electrical and engine repair systems

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical dexterity

  • Ability to learn new technology and service procedures

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with great communication skills

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
