Title: Transmission Analyst I – Project Closeout

Job Summary

We are seeking a Transmission Analyst I to support Power Delivery capital project closeout activities for transmission substation and transmission line projects.

This role will coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, Project Management, Construction, and Compliance teams to review project charges, reconcile actual costs against estimates, resolve variances, and support timely closeout of completed capital projects.

Candidates with transmission substation and/or transmission line knowledge or experience are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the transmission capital project closeout process.

• Research and resolve variances between project estimates and actual costs.

• Review project scope and associated charges prior to closeout.

• Close capital projects in accordance with established project closeout procedures.

• Track project closeout status, deadlines, and outstanding items.

• Prepare business reports and maintain accurate project documentation.

• Review and analyze transaction data related to capital projects.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, Project Management, and Compliance teams.

• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders involved in transmission projects.

• Support reconciliation of project costs, materials, equipment, and completed work.

• Maintain organized records and documentation supporting project closeout decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Two-year degree from a technical school or university with related work experience required.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to analyze and manage large sets of transactional and project data.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

• Prior experience supporting or managing transmission capital projects.

• Strongly preferred experience with:

  • Transmission substations

  • Transmission lines

  • Transmission design

  • Transmission construction

• Familiarity with transmission equipment, materials, construction scope, and project costs.

• Experience with:

  • TEAMS – Transmission Estimating and Management System

  • Maximo

  • Vault

  • PowerPlan
