Transmit Security Engineer (Banking)

Overview
Client is seeking a Customer Identity & Authentication Engineer to design, develop, configure, and support customer identity and authentication solutions using the Transmit Security and Mosaic platforms. This role partners with cybersecurity, digital banking, fraud, authentication, and application development teams to deliver secure, frictionless customer onboarding and login experiences.
The position focuses on identity orchestration, passwordless authentication, multi-factor authentication (MFA), risk-based authentication, and integration with banking applications. The engineer will support customer identity journeys while helping maintain security, compliance, and user experience standards.

Core Responsibilities
• Design and implement authentication and identity management solutions using Transmit Security.
• Build and maintain customer identity journeys, including registration, login, MFA enrollment, and account recovery processes.
• Integrate Transmit Security APIs and SDKs with web and mobile banking applications.
• Configure identity orchestration workflows and adaptive authentication policies.
• Support passkey and passwordless authentication initiatives.
• Collaborate with fraud, risk, cybersecurity, and digital banking teams to enhance customer security and user experience.
• Troubleshoot authentication issues, integration defects, and production incidents.
• Participate in architecture reviews and ensure compliance with security and banking standards.
• Create technical documentation, support procedures, and implementation standards.
• Assist with vendor engagement and platform upgrades.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• 5+ years of software engineering, IAM, CIAM, or authentication experience.
• 2+ years implementing customer authentication platforms.
• Experience with Transmit Security and the Mosaic Platform.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, .NET, or similar enterprise development platforms.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions.
• Knowledge of MFA, FIDO2, WebAuthn, and passkey technologies.
• Experience with API security, token management, and encryption technologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with Agile development and DevSecOps practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Preferred Skills or Experience
• Banking or financial services experience.
• Experience with customer authentication and fraud prevention solutions.
• Experience integrating customer onboarding and KYC solutions.
• Experience with identity orchestration platforms.
• Experience with vendor platforms such as Okta.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, IAM certifications, or cloud certifications.

Work Details
• Collaborates with Digital Banking, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Fraud Prevention, AML/Risk teams, and Mobile and Online Banking development teams.
