COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE:$17.73/hourRegular Part-TimeMonday–FridayMust work 24 hours per weekPennsylvania CNA certification requiredAllentown location WHAT YOU'LL DO!As a Transportation Aide in our Clinics Department, you will play an important role in safely transporting and supporting Cedarbrook residents.Your responsibilities may include:Pick up residents from their residential units and transport them to scheduled appointments, therapy, and other destinationsAssist residents using wheelchairs, stretchers/litters, walkers, and other mobility equipmentAccompany residents to medical appointments, therapy, and other activitiesAssist with transfers to and from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and other equipmentSafely return residents to their rooms following appointments or activitiesEscort residents to appointments in a variety of medical settings outside the facilitySchedule resident appointments and complete required appointment paperworkCommunicate with appropriate personnel when a resident is unable to attend a scheduled appointmentDeliver resident charts, progress notes, memoranda, and other paperwork throughout the facilityPrepare equipment and furnishings for treatments, meetings, and other usesClean, maintain, and properly care for transportation and other equipmentPerform other related duties as assigned THE PERSON BEHIND THE TRANSPORT!We're looking for someone who understands that residents deserve patience, dignity, respect, and kindness throughout every interaction.Enjoys working one-on-one with residentsIs compassionate, patient, and dependableCan safely assist with resident transfers and mobilityCommunicates effectively with residents, families, and coworkersIs comfortable working in medical appointment settingsCan recognize potential safety concerns during transportationWorks well independently while remaining part of a teamTakes pride in providing safe, respectful, and reliable service PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This position involves active physical work and requires the ability to:Stand for extended periodsBend, push, pull, and maneuver equipmentAssist residents with transfers and transportationLift a minimum of 40 pounds to waist level without restrictionSafely support and maneuver residents with physical limitations QUALIFICATIONS:Required:Education equivalent to completion of the 10th gradePennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification (CNA) – required and must be maintainedSix to twelve months of experience working with individuals with mental or physical limitations OR an equivalent combination of acceptable training and experienceFull job description and additional position details will be provided during the interview process.
