PRIMARY PURPOSE: Perform daily activities of vehicle repair and maintenance to ensure proper performance and safety of all District vehicles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications:
Knowledge of automotive mechanics and maintenance
High School graduate/GED
Acceptable driving record
Clear and valid Texas license or Valid CDL
Ability to obtain Texas Commercials driver's license with Passenger (P) and School Bus
(S) Endorsements within 3 months
TEA Certified within 3 months
Ability to pass alcohol and drug screen tests.
Ability to pass yearly DOT physical.
Ability to operate a school bus
Satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting and background check
Preferred
2+ years' experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment both diesel and
gasoline-type engines and hydraulic equipment.
