Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00 PM

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Summary

Responsibilities

The Transport Patient Engagement Specialist transports patients to and from the treatment facility. This individual is the first staff point of contact for all patients who require transportation to a facility. The individual ensures safe, secure, and comfortable travel for all new admits.

• Maintain demonstration of values and mission statement.
• Establishes communication with patients and coworkers to improve quality of service and patient satisfaction.
• Transports patients to the facility to designated areas in an efficient and timely manner.
• Follows routing and scheduling instructions given by the Dispatch Manager.
• Accompanies patients inside the facility upon arrival and delivers communication to the Receptionist and Dispatch Manager regarding the drop off.
• Offers comfort and support to patients and their families.
• Respects and protects patient confidence and hospital confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and patient information private.
• Follows all protocols and procedures to ensure safe delivery of patients and their possessions.
• Possesses excellent driving capabilities.
• Possesses the ability to de-escalate situations.
• Maintains a secure, clean, and healthy work environment.
• Routinely complies with the standards set forth by HIPAA.
• Works as a highly dependable, independent member of the treatment team.
• Ability to maintain flexibility in work schedule.
• Must be a committed team player willing to learn new skill sets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience
• 1-year prior experience working with Substance Abuse populations strongly preferred
• Crisis Intervention Training strongly preferred
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Clean driving record for at least 3 years
• Must be committed to drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use
• Personal passion or interest in substance abuse issues strongly preferre
