Job Description
Overview:
Kimley-Horn is looking for Planning students to join our Reston, Virginia (VA) office on the Transportation team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:- Solve complex problems, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to help bring our clients’ visions for the future built environment to life.
- Assist with a variety of transportation planning efforts, including Safety Action Plans, campus masterplans, parking and curbside management programs, and mobility planning.
- Support project analysis and deliverables using GIS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Analyze data and information to help identify trends, evaluate alternatives, and support project recommendations.
- Participate in public, client, and project team meetings, using strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate technical information and gain exposure to both the technical and client-facing sides of transportation planning.
- In the process of receiving a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in of the following majors:
- City and Regional Planning
- Urban Planning
- Transportation Planning
- Or Other Related Major
Hourly Range: $30/hr - $31/hr
