Description

American Traveler seeks an Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist with pediatric feeding and swallowing expertise for a hospital-based role in Boston, MA.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with pediatric inpatient, outpatient, and NICU populations
• Provides pediatric feeding and swallowing evaluations, including MBS studies
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 4:30pm, 40 hours per week
• EPIC EMR system used for documentation

Requirements

• Active MA state license required, if applicable
• Current ASHA Certification required
• Current CPR certification required
• Minimum 3 years of pediatric feeding and swallowing experience required
• Independent completion of pediatric feeding and swallowing evaluations required
• NICU, pediatric inpatient, and pediatric intensive care experience preferred
• Trach and vent experience preferred
• Outpatient clinical feeding evaluation experience preferred
• FEES competency preferred
• EPIC experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide flexible patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and MBS settings as needed
• Attend all team meetings during working hours
• Complete SLP department training and BMC Pediatric SLP competency sign-off upon start
• Adhere to SLP department standards for patient care and documentation
• Report to and be supervised by the Pediatric SLP Section Leader
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
