Description

American Traveler is hiring a Case Management RN for a hospital setting requiring 2-3 years of case management experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute hospital Case Management department
• Supports adults requiring home health setup and discharge assistance
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some Saturdays
• Uses Epic charting system, experience required for certain units
• All travelers float within service line
• 12-week minimum contract length, which is firm

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (must be in hand at submission, cannot be tied to another compact state)
• BLS certification required
• 2-3 years of case management experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Preferred experience in community hospital and LTAC settings
• Preferred experience with appeals and denials, pre-cert review, prior authorizations, CMS regulations, DRG, Joint Commission standards, ICU, Med-Surg, SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs, surgical services, and medical necessity review
• Strong computer skills including typing and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, plan of care management, and utilization review
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved, no exceptions
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Standard travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius and may work up to an 18-month period, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Travelers with 18 months of tenure must complete a 3-month break before returning
