Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week academic hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Works in the Cardiac Cath Lab department, including diagnostic and interventional cath labs and hybrid OR settings
• 3 total staffed beds
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Every other weekend required per unit needs
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time, covering 3 weekend days and 6 weekdays per month (9 days total)
• No floating required, though subject to change per unit needs
• Uses Epic for charting
• Scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• CCI RCIS and CCRN certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in Cath Lab procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, Impella insertion, IABP placement/removal, and Watchman procedures
• Experience with vascular closure systems, sheath removal/monitoring, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Knowledge of cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted only if they have 3 or more years of experience in an academic Cath Lab setting
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates within the last two years will not be eligible for consideration
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during key holiday and high-census weeks
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Completion of all facility-specific modules required within the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate if residing within 75 miles of the facility
